Pumas are Runners-Up in Easton Classic Womens Open

by admin on July 27, 2009

SoCal PumasThe Pumas spent their pre-nationals weekend in Corona competing in the Easton Classic tournament.  The girls played some great games.  They had 58 hits scored 36 runs and we struck out 16 girls.  While they looked young on the field, you’d have never known it by the scores.  With an overall tournament record of 5-1 the girls ultimately fell to The Hurricanes.  When I say fell, I use that term very loosely.  The Pumas scored 5 runs on the Hurricanes which is the record for most runs scored against them.  With a final score of 9-5 we consider it a great accomplishment and a privilege to compete against a team with such an elite roster.
